Heartstart

I would feel very confident
to instruct someone else to
help me in an emergency.

I thought it was an excellent course........the main advantage
for me over previous courses, was that you explained why certain actions
were done which made the whole thing more logical.

Heartstart
We also work in association with the British Heart Foundation to deliver their
Heartstart courses, following accreditation by the approved British Heart
FoundationTraining Director.  This gives us a great opportunity to pass on
some basic techniques to local people which will help them preserve life in
an emergency.
We have now trained 116 people in The Vale in Emergency Life Support skills.

If you would like to confirm your interest in taking part in the
next Heartstart course, please complete the short form on the
right below.  Courses start at 7.00pm  and finish by 9.30pm

If you would like to talk to us about us running a course just
for your group - WI, Village Hall Committee, Parish Council etc.,
or perhaps colleagues in your workplace, then please complete
the form below and left and we’ll be in touch.

Proud to be associated with

Excellent!  Extremely informative and particularly good that, when practising, we had a one-to-one guide with us

Tina - Nr Grantham

I liked the way the film followed each presetation - bringing to life what we had been taught

I feel much more confident now I have completed the course and would definitely recommend it to others.

I’m really glad I did this, it was an excellent course and you made it all very easy to understand.  I liked being able to have a go with someone helping me.

Jo R - Bingham

Courses will cover dealing with:  Conscious patients, Unconscious Patients, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation - (“CPR”), Signs of a Heart Attack, Choking and Bleeding.

Courses are very practical, with lots of time to practice with the guidance of an experienced and fully Trained Responder.  Comfortable clothing with trousers for the ladies (and gents !) is recommended.

Here is some of the feedback we’ve had from the courses we have run around The Vale so far:

Heartstart
A short time ago, British Heart Foundation ran a two minute opportunity for you to “Watch you own heart attack”.  If you saw this, the Heartstart programme will teach you the techniques required to deal with just that situation if it happens to someone close to you.  Click on the picture on the right to take you to the British Heart Foundation web pages where you can see the video.

Rita from Hose was our 100th trained person in The Vale and was delighted to attend the recent course in Harby.
